Ist of August 2024 Will Always be Remembered #ENDBADGOVERNANCE Peaceful Protests in Nigeria

Address of the state of the Nigeria Nation
on the #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria.

I commend Peaceful Nigerians and Nigerian Youths who have come out to a Peaceful Protest against the #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria

1 August 2024 will always be remembered for generations to come as the day that Peaceful Nigerians and the Nigerian Youths stage a Peaceful protest calling out and speaking up against the government to review policies which has resulted into very high cost of living which millions of Nigerians can’t afford.

I totally condemn the killings done by the Nigeria security agencies to innocent unarmed peaceful protesters who have come out across Nigeria to demonstrate peacefully as part of their fundamental human Rights and Freedom of Speech and their rights to a peaceful protest. I hope that one they will all be held accountable for their atrocities and actions.

It is so sad that even in this morden Nigeria, speaking out and Speaking up against abuse of power , human rights, oppression and abuses of privileges have become a crime in Nigeria.

Some Peaceful innocent Nigerians and Youths who participated in the protest have been arrested, tortured, placed on watchlist and secretly declared wanted by the government and the Nigeria security agencies.

Freedom of speech or freedom of expression is no longer free in Nigeria it comes with a huge price of threat to life, intimidation , arrest, kidnap and sometimes even murder.

I use this opportunity to extend my sincere condolences to the families of the two innocent boys a 16 years old student that was killed by the Nigerian Army in Zaria Kaduna state and other innocent unarmed peaceful protesters, may their soul rest in peace,

I will continue to speak up for human rights and justice until we have a government that listens and truly reflects a democratic society where the fundamental human right of all citizens are respected.

It is very unfortunate and we are not surprise how we all saw how political thugs hired by the government to cause havoc to peaceful protesters.

The Presidential broadcast on Sunday August 4th, 2024 to Peaceful Nigerians and Nigeria Youths protesting was far from the demands of the masses which are hunger, high cost of living, high level of corruption among others.

The continued daily increase in the cost of living cannot be reduced to self glorified speeches and excuses and a promise of a pie in the sky when the citizens are dying from hunger and terrible living conditions every day, while political office holders continue to award Billions to themselves for doing almost nothing to contribute to the commonwealth.

I call and urge other International communities, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, International Human Rights Commission, the Human Rights Council, members of international diplomatic corp among others to join in the call for the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Nigeria security agencies to release all detained Peaceful protesters.

This is a crucial time for the international community to stand by with innocent peacful Nigerians as they exercise their fundamental human rights.

For all the innocent Nigerians that lost their lifes during the #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria may their soul rest in Peace we will never forget their struggles for a better Nigeria.
